Demolition Darby and Joan

The Saffron Court home for the elderly in Whitehall is being demolished. It was only built in 1993. Dementia care policies have changed and residential building land is scarce.

The cherry trees went a couple of months ago.

Residential building land might be scarce in Whitehall - but the housing market has been pretty flat. I live not too far away, and there are plenty of houses for sale which have been on and off the market for over a year without selling; I can't see any investors in this site getting much of a return very fast.
