Always a good sign that winter is nearly over: You can smell the sweet lemon scent of this daphne odora several metres away. A shame it's not mine and that cuttings are difficult to root, but it's next to a path, so many people benefit.

Pong

Difficult to propagate and extreemely slow growing, Daphne Odora is in flower now, giving off the most incredible scent.

What better way to spend the sunset hours after a busy day outside than listening to Richard James aka Aphex Twin as the featured artist on Stuart Maconie's BBC6 Music show. I've always particularly liked 'Acrid avid jam shred'.
